Why is Brand Registration Required?

At Drop Cowboy, we take great pride in upholding industry standards when it comes to meeting regulatory requirements. As a CSP (Communication Service Provider) we are required to know who our customers are so we have implemented 'Know Your Customer' procedures which include identity verification and brand registration. This is both for your best interests as a user and also those of the individuals you are reaching out to. Don't worry, completing the registration form will only take a few minutes! Let's walk through the process together.

How to Register Your Brand

Visit the Trust Center: First, you'll want to click into your account's Trust Center. This is located under the My Data section on the left-hand side of your account.

Add Your Brand: Next, click the '+Add Brand' button to add your brand to the Trust Center. Each brand or DBA you are sending for should be added to the Trust Center.

Complete the Form: You'll need to provide basic information on your brand. We've included some definitions to help you below. After the form is completed, click the 'Register' button and our team will review your submitted information.

  • Company Name: The legally registered name and if applicable the legally registered DBA (trade name) for your brand.

  • Entity Type: Whether you are a private company with an EIN, a Sole Proprietor with no EIN, a publicly traded company, a government entity, or a non-profit. Please note that if your brand has an EIN you should not register as a Sole Proprietor.

**Entities outside of the U.S.** You will need to register as a Sole Proprietor.

  • Industry Vertical: Choose the industry that best describes the service or product you provide.

  • Website: Your website or social media presence for your brand is now required. Please ensure you enter a website or link to your brand's social media page. You will need to include https:// or http:// when entering the web address.

  • Tax IDs: If your brand has an EIN, Tax ID, or Business ID number, you will need to include this information. If you have a publicly traded company you'll need to include the Stock Exchange and Stock Symbol.

  • Address: If your brand has an EIN, please ensure that the address provided matches what is on file with the IRS.

  • Authorized Representative: Enter the name, title, and contact information of the person authorized to register the brand and that Drop Cowboy or another designated 3rd party auditor may contact for purposes of vetting this brand.

  • Opt-in Flow: Please describe how consumers opted in to receive pre-recorded audio or text messages from your brand. If you have multiple opt-in methods, please include them all.

Additional Information Needed: Certain industries may require additional information before we can complete your brand registration. Let's go over these below.

Third-Party Senders: If you are sending third-party content on behalf of your clients we will need some additional information from you. After your brand is submitted to the Trust Center, please reach out to our support team via live chat or by emailing support@dropcowboy.com and attaching your Master Service Agreement or other legal agreement that authorizes you to send content for the brand. The agreement should also state that you require your contacts to obtain consent through a TCPA-approved method.

Political Campaigns: If you are sending political content, please reach out to our support team via live chat or by emailing support@dropcowboy.com with a list of all the candidates you will be sending for. We will need their first name, last name, and their cell phone number or email address so we can send an identity verification request. Their verification will need to be completed before you can send the candidate's campaigns.

Insurance Agents: If you are an insurance agent/agency, please reach out to our support team via live chat or by emailing support@dropcowboy.com to provide your insurance license documentation. If you will be sending Medicare marketing content, we will also need your SMID code.

Real Estate Agents: If you are in the real estate industry, please reach out to our support team via live chat or by emailing support@dropcowboy.com to provide your real estate license documentation or if you are not required to have a real estate license, please clarify that your offering does not require a real estate license.

Loan Officers: If you are in the mortgage industry as a loan officer, please reach out to our support team via live chat or by emailing support@dropcowboy.com to provide your mortgage license documentation.

SBA Lender: If you will be sending content related to SBA loans, please reach out to our support team via live chat or by emailing support@dropcowboy.com with evidence that you are a registered SBA lender.
